About the Artist
Hello! If Arianne Criseyde Pascual is a mouthful for you, I can go by as Arian. Across the many other reaches of the internet, my online handle is gothicspork so I can be called Sporky as well. Having a collection of sporks in real life helps with that identity.
I'm a multimedia artist living in the Philippines. I graduated from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde under AB Multimedia Arts is on October 2011. I have worked as a digital media artist from 2011-2013 at Post Manila providing 2d designs and pre-visualization for TV Commercials. That job included storyboarding and designing the opening billboard of the 2012 Filipino action-horror movie, Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles.
I love learning a bit of everything and I believe in creativity in any form. To balance my passion for the visual arts of illustration and animation, I'm eager to learn the logic of web programming and Actionscript.
Growing up playing with Legos and toys developed my desire to build anything then give it a story. Even if I'm drawing a spontaneous pop art doodle, I imagine how the shapes and figures would interact as if they're conscious beings. On a long term scale, I aspire to publish graphic novels based on characters and worlds I've been developing.
When not busy with art, I'm fascinated by natural sciences like marine biology, mycology, astronomy and medical diseases. Ironic subjects considering my parents initially wanted me to be a doctor but I look up to these for inspiration.
My normal hobbies are videogames, comics and cartoons. I hope that I'll soon be playing videogames, reading comics and watching cartoons that I took a big part in.
